About Glenis Beaumont
Hand weaving is inextricably linked to nature, my inspirations are drawn from my environment especially the Murray and Darling Rivers and the surround land of the Mallee.
Using natural fibres with a focus on Australian Wool, my textiles are often hand dyed to meet the specific need of a project.
Hand weaving is intense and time consuming, many, many hours are spend designing an article, planning colours and textures. I like to photograph my weaving to show the ‘works in progress’ (WIP), it is my intention to have WIP photos available to those that purchase my textiles to give an added dimension of understanding around the production skills and artistic craft.
